Job description:
Are you passionate about websites, IT and digital technologies? Do you want to further develop your technical skills in a fast-growing e-commerce company? As an Intern Website Optimization & IT at Coco Clean, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in improving our website performance and digital user experience. You will work together with the marketing and IT team to optimize the performance of our Shopify webshop, improve user experiences and solve technical issues.

Responsibilities:
As an intern Website Optimization & IT you are actively involved in improving our website, both on a technical and user level. Your work includes:

  • Website Performance & Optimization: You will help improve the loading speed, usability, and overall performance of our Shopify store. This may include optimizing images, improving navigation, and improving the mobile user experience.

  • SEO & Technical Optimization: Together with the marketing team, you will work on improving the search engine optimization (SEO) of our Shopify website by implementing technical improvements, such as optimizing meta tags, URL structures, and improving indexability. You will learn to work with Shopify SEO tools and apps to increase the visibility of our webshop.

  • Bug Fixes & Technical Support: You will support the IT team in resolving technical issues that arise on the Shopify store, such as bugs, browser incompatibilities, and other technical glitches. You will learn how to use Shopify apps to solve technical challenges.

  • Content Management & Webshop Functionality: You support updating the website and adding new products or content within Shopify. You ensure that the webshop functions smoothly and support the team in implementing new functionalities.

  • User-Friendly & Attractive Design Improvements: You will help improve the visual and technical elements of the website, with an eye for an attractive user interface (UI) and a smooth user experience (UX). You will work with the design team to customize Shopify themes and add new design features.

  • Analyzing Web Data: You work with tools such as Google Analytics and Shopify Analytics to collect and analyze data about website traffic and user behavior. Based on this data, you contribute to improvements that promote customer experience and conversion on the webshop.

  • Collaborate with Other Teams: You'll work closely with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to support the technical side of marketing campaigns and ensure the seamless integration of new features into the Shopify store.

Requirements:
For this internship we are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive intern with a passion for IT, web development and e-commerce. We are looking for someone who is both technically skilled and able to think creatively about improvements.

  • Education: You are following a course in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, IT or a similar course.

  • Basic knowledge of web technologies: You have knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and possibly also backend technologies such as PHP or MySQL. Experience with Shopify is a big plus, but not a requirement.

  • Experience with SEO: Basic knowledge of SEO techniques and tools such as Google Analytics or Google Search Console is a plus. Experience with Shopify SEO tools and apps is a plus.

  • Problem Solving Skills: You have an analytical mind and can quickly identify and solve technical problems.

  • Strong communication skills: You can communicate clearly in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive and eager to learn: You take initiative and are willing to learn new skills and expand your knowledge.

  • Passion for web optimization and digital technologies: You have a strong interest in everything related to websites and digital technology and want to develop further in this field.
