Whiter teeth and healthy teeth naturally? Oil pulling is the answer!

We love our cups of coffee, pieces of fruit and the occasional delicious cheat. But unfortunately, these pleasures are not really good for your teeth. No matter how well and often you brush your teeth, it does not always help against discoloration and the annoying (and sometimes nasty) ailments that can arise. And it's actually better to leave all those chemical mouthwashes alone. But what does help?

Oil pulling

Ever heard of oil pulling? No? Then we would be happy to explain it to you. Oil pulling is an ancient 'Ayurvedic remedy' in which you rinse your mouth with natural oils. It has a positive effect on not only oral health, but also general health. Harmful bacteria, fungi and other organisms and their toxins are extracted from the mouth, teeth, gums, tongue and even the throat.

CocoClean

It therefore ensures that your mouth is cleaned naturally. Much better than those chemical mouthwashes. It's just not very nice to walk around with a mouth full of raw coconut oil. So Coco Clean came up with something about this. They have added different flavors to the coconut oil (from mint to lemon ), which make it a lot more pleasant to use the product.

Coco Clean is also twice as effective as regular raw coconut oil from the supermarket. It contains a higher lauric acid content*, which gives it an even stronger antibacterial effect.

Advantages

But what exactly happens to your teeth when you use it? In addition to whitening your teeth naturally and preventing further discoloration (hello toothpaste smile!), it also removes dental plaque, reduces plaque and ensures healthy gums. In other words, your entire teeth will benefit enormously from it. Your dentist is happy again! Or maybe not… because it will save you some visits!

How do you use it?

It's actually very simple. You get one very nice bottle with the (solidified) coconut oil. Hold this under the warm tap for a moment so that the oil liquefies. Fill a small cap (approximately 10 ml) with the oil and rinse your mouth with it for about 5 minutes.

Oh dear! 5 minutes? Isn't that an awfully long time? It does seem like a bit of a long time to rinse your mouth, but if you hop in the shower, before you start washing your hair, you can put the stuff in your mouth and once you're completely clean and scrubbed, you just spit it out . This way it's not too bad and after a few times, you will really notice a difference!

Lauric acid* is a saturated fatty acid and is found in breast milk and coconut oil, among others, and is able to combat potentially harmful micro-organisms.
